Written after the loss of my last childhood friend, Born beside the sea recounts growing up in a rough sea side town, where we were outsiders to even the alternative crowd. Those times are now lost and only exist for me within me, trying to capture that sense of loss with an uplifting reminiscence.

Born beside the sea is at once catchy, sad, uplifting and utterly urgent.

We never wanted to be anything like the other people born beside the sea
